How I’m managing daily training while running my electrical business in Southampton — all to support Young Lives vs. Cancer.
Running a business is a full-time commitment. Add daily boxing training to the mix, and you’ve got one serious challenge — but that’s what I’ve taken on in preparation for Fight Night on 19th July 2025.
As the owner of Solid Electrics, I believe in pushing myself to grow — whether it's learning the latest in solar and battery storage or stepping out of my comfort zone into the boxing ring. My days now include early mornings and late nights, balancing electrical callouts and installations with shadowboxing, sparring, and strength sessions.
This experience has reminded me that discipline and mental toughness apply just as much to business as they do to sport. The journey has been demanding, but also incredibly rewarding.
Of course, this is about more than just training — it’s about raising money for Young Lives vs. Cancer, a fantastic charity supporting families and children through the hardships of cancer. They provide vital help, and I’m proud to stand in the ring for them.
